Tucked away in a cozy corner of the library, The Hidden Chapter Book Club gathers once a month to read, sip, and discover. We’ll discuss a new book each month and explore historic library spaces and collections overlooked by the everyday visitor.
We'll discuss Milwaukee oddities : the bridge to nowhere, the rise of the sewer socialists, the lion in the library & more, and take a deep dive into some of the oddities and spooky locales discussed in the book, including the Socialist Pamphlets collection, Old St James’ Cemetery, Gertie the Duck, and more.
Limited copies of each title will be available for checkout at the Wisconsin Avenue circulation desk in the month leading up to the meeting.
Meet up in the Old Board Room, first floor Rotunda, bookseller corridor, last door on the right.
