Arkham House Publishing was founded in 1937 in Sauk City Wisconsin. Come learn of the history of this company, what it published and preserved, and why it remains relevant today.

Join us in the Richard E. and Lucile Krug Rare Books Room as Rare Books Librarian Timothy Rush presents on the history of Sauk City publisher Arkham House. This pioneer of horror, fantasy, and science fiction writing has a complicated story, full of more bumps in the night than some of its praised books. After the presentation, a small selection of Arkham House items from the Rare Books collection will be on view, and the librarian will be available for questions.
