Stop by the Bay View Branch Library to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making a diy window cling styled after monarch butterflies.

In Mexico, the arrival of monarch butterflies coincides with the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). The indigenous people of Mexico, including the Aztecs and the Purepecha, believed that monarch butterflies were the souls of their ancestors returning for the annual celebration. Butterflies, in general, are culturally significant in Mexico, symbolizing transformation and renewal. 

All supplies are included. Program limited to 15 participants. Register in person or online at mpl.org/calendar. Make sure to dress for mess!

Crafting Connections meets monthly on Mondays from 1:00-3:00pm at the Bay View Branch Library on the following dates: September 14th, October 5th, November 9th, and December 7th.
