Come to the Good Hope Branch for a this ongoing series of programs on Black History with a local focus, presented by author and educator Bonnie J. Edwards M.A. Ed. This session will focus on The Reconstruction Era and the negative impact of Jim Crow on new settlers migrating from the deep South to Midwestern States, such as Wisconsin. Still We Rise is an ongoing series exploring Black History from the events leading up to the Middle Passage and beyond to Jim Crow, Civil Rights and the contemporary era, and includes archival photographs and documentation. Refreshments will be served.
