Behind-the-scenes tours of the Martin Luther King Branch. Opened in 2025, it is the newest Milwaukee Public Library location.

The Martin Luther King Branch participates in the annual Doors Open Milwaukee event. Visitors can explore Milwaukee Public Library’s newest branch through guided tours highlighting its architecture, sustainable design, and role as a neighborhood hub. Tours include public spaces such as the Community Room and Makerspace, along with select behind-the-scenes areas not normally open to visitors. Staff will share the story of the branch’s development, its environmentally sustainable features, and its 2026 Mayor's Design Award recognition.
