Cargill Community Kitchen, Community Room, Mitchell Alley, Northwestern Mutual Foundation Studio M MakerspaceAs we mark 250 years since America's founding, we invite you to join in a community meal and interview with Milwaukee city government.
As we mark 250 years since America’s founding, we invite you to join in a community meal and interview with Milwaukee city government about the ways this moment in history has shaped our country and city, the personal meaning this moment holds for each of us, and the ways in which we can apply America’s founding ideal of engaged democracy locally today.
This event is part of MPL’s Civic Season. To mark the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, the Milwaukee Public Library will host a “Civic Season” from Juneteenth through Independence Day. This series is designed to help participants to think critically about the complexities of our collective past and present and imagine expansively about what we’d like the next 250 years to hold for our community.
This event is also a part of Milwaukee Civic Bites, a monthly series from the Milwaukee Public Library designed to bring you closer to the people who keep our city running.
