A monthly craft program for older adults. Come for the crafts, stay for the community!
In celebration of Women’s History Month, March’s craft will feature Georgia O’Keeffe and her contributions to the art world during a time in history when women were rarely taken seriously.
We will be using several of her artworks – Music Pink and Blue No. 1 and 2 (1918) and Blue and Green Music (1920) – to create our own masterpieces using oil pastels on canvas board while listening to a curated selection of music. New to oil pastels? That’s OK! We will learn the basics as we go.
This craft will be extra messy, so make sure to dress for the occasion! All supplies are included. Program limited to 15 participants. Register online or in person at MPL.org/calendar.
Crafting Connections meets monthly on Mondays from 1:00-3:00pm at the Bay View Branch Library on the following dates: January 5th, February 2nd, March 2nd, and April 13th.
