This training introduces participants to some of the science behind the first 3 years of a child's brain development and activities they can implement to capitalize on this critical stage of growth.

Being a nurturing caregiver is such an important part of teaching the youngest in your care. But when should you start? How should you do it? Learn how to create the optimal environment for healthy brain development. Find out how secure attachment and social-emotional development are the foundation for all of babies’ and toddlers’ future learning. Explore ways to build intentional interactions into your day that foster language skills and are developmentally appropriate, based on the framework of "The Five Practices." 
 
Tier 2 continuing education: 3.0 hours 
 
This program is specifically geared to those who teach children birth through 36 months but all interested adults are welcome!
 
Registration required; adults only; no children, no exceptions. 

Check in begins 10 minutes prior to class start time so workshop can begin as scheduled. To receive credit, attendees must arrive on time.
