Discover the life of Billy Mitchell, bold aviation pioneer and "Father of the U.S. Air Force," whose vision, controversy, and legacy forever changed America?s approach to air power.

Billy Mitchell was a U.S. Army general and aviation pioneer who championed the development of air power in the early 20th century. Often called the "Father of the U.S. Air Force," he was court-martialed for his outspoken criticism of military leadership but later recognized as a visionary.

Presented by Mike Carr, local historian and longtime member of the League of World War I Aviation Historians.
