Planning & Planting a Vegetable Garden explores vegetable gardening basics based on developing a sound garden plan. Your Southeast Wisconsin Master Gardeners Volunteer will cover garden placement considerations such as sunlight exposure, soil quality, and convenience. You will learn how to make the most of your space through techniques such as succession planting, sequential planting, interplanting, and vertical gardening. This presentation also includes information on starting plants from seed versus planting seedlings, successful watering techniques, and mulching alternatives.
