Stories of famous people who lived in Milwaukee

Famous Milwaukeeans:  "What do the highest paid entertainer in the world, a civil rights icon, a famous scientist, three Academy Award winners, the man who won the
Cold War, the heads of two foreign countries, the greatest athlete in the world, and the first starship captain have in common?  They all lived in Milwaukee.  Come and hear their stories."

History at Noon: Lunchtime Journeys Through the Past  Join us for an enriching and relaxed lunchtime history program at the library! Bring your own bag lunch and enjoy a lively, engaging discussion of fascinating historical topics, all while connecting with fellow history enthusiasts.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Each month, we'll explore a different theme, period, or historical event, uncovering the stories that have shaped our world. Whether it's a deep dive into local history, the lives of historical figures, or pivotal moments in global history, you’ll be transported through time while sharing a meal with others.

Funded by a gift from the estate of Naomi B. Strehlow.
