Join us for a Black History Month event focused on health, wellness, and community empowerment. Connect with experts, gain tips, and celebrate Black leaders' contributions to health and wellness!

Join us for a Black History Month event centering health, wellness, and empowering our community as we Thrive Together. Meet community wellness practitioners and entrepreneurs while gaining helpful tips on incorporating wellness practices into your daily life.

  • 4:30-5:00 pm An Introduction to Stress Reduction and Breathwork: The session will offer tools for emotional regulation and restoration. Participants will also learn ways they can go deeper with longer SKY School courses in Milwaukee, including upcoming workshops at the SWIM Hub. Presented by Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing individual and community healing and well-being by expanding access to holistic wellness services, in collaboration with its partner, Sky Schools.
  • 5:00 – 5:30 pm Take a 30-minute break to recharge and explore wellness in a meaningful way! Enjoy tea samples from HoneyBee Sage Apothecary while connecting with local health and wellness organizations like City of Milwaukee’s Office of Community Wellness and Safety, Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee, Healthy MKE, Milwaukee Health Services Inc., and community organizations like MKE Black. Dive into resources that celebrate health and wellness in our diverse community, including curated books from the Milwaukee Public Library. This session is your chance to sip, learn, and discover ways to nurture your well-being while supporting local initiatives.
  • 5:30-6:00pm Join HoneyBee Sage Apothecary for a workshop on holistic health and self-advocacy in Western medicine. This event includes a 30-minute conversation-style session on self-advocacy, empowerment, and exploring alternative wellness options. Enjoy tea samples before the discussion and browse wellness products for purchase. HoneyBee Sage Apothecary, rooted in a global community of healers, is dedicated to educating and empowering the community. Take this opportunity to learn, connect, and grow on your wellness journey!
