Eastland, a passenger steamer that capsized in the Chicago River on July 24, 1915.  It resulted in the largest loss of life in Great Lakes shipping history. The story of this disaster will start from the year the boat was launched in 1903 through the end of its career on the Great Lakes. We are here to serve you and your healthcare needs. Services available include Consultation with a nurse practitioner (immediate care needs, medication review, one-on-one education, and goal setting) Consultation with a nurse practitioner for children, the guardian must be present (immediate needs, health questions, review milestones and safety) Health Screenings (blood pressure, blood sugar, depression, anxiety) Care Navigation and Referrals (connection to a medical home, behavioral health referrals, community resource referrals). Beginners and Experts welcome! The group meets twice monthly, from 5:30-6:30 on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Start a new project or bring one in progress and come work on it in community. We welcome knitting, crochet, tatting, sewing, mending or other fiber-related projects. Fiber Artist Ruth Shank will be on hand every second Monday to help with getting you started on something new, provide technical advice on a project-in-progress or simply visit. Some supplies on hand for new knitters (basic knowledge is assumed), but feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Design your own sugar skull in celebration of D­a de los Muertos.  Learn a brief history of the holiday and take home your own creation.  Supplies will be provided.
