A presentation by Eric Vogel in conjunction with Docomomo US/Wisconsin about architect William Wenzler and the churches he designed along with a display of drawings from the WAA.
Join us for a Docomomo US/Wisconsin presentation by Eric Vogel about four churches by architect William Wenzler. The event will take place in the Central Library's Frank P. Zeidler Room. Wenzler's remarkable original architectural drawings from the Wisconsin Architectural Archives will be on display.
Eric Vogel is scholar-in-residence at the Taliesin Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona through spring of 2025. He is a designer, educator, architectural historian, and former Chair of the 3D Design Department at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. As board president of the Wisconsin chapter of Docomomo US, Eric is currently editing a book on Milwaukee's 20th century architectural history entitled Milwaukee Moderns. Concurrently, he is working with the Museum of Wisconsin Art on two new architecture and design-related exhibitions: the evolution of Frank Lloyd Wright’s early modern furniture, from Taliesin to Usonia, and the photographic work of mid-century Wisconsin architectural photographer Richard H. Bills.
