A birthday party for the inventor of the QWERTY keyboard with a Black History twist.

Come show some Valentine's Day Love to Christopher Latham Sholes, who was born on February 14th, 1819 in Pennsylvania and moved to Milwaukee as an adult, where he invented and perfected the QWERTY keyboard used on English-language typewriters and still used on computer/phone keyboards. This QWERTY-fest-adjacent event will include a type-in, a children's storytime, a talk about the Black History of the Typewriter and, of course, birthday cake!
