Sponsored and staffed by The Friends of the MPL volunteers, the very popular quarterly Book Sales feature thousands of books marked down to bargain prices.

Mark your calendars now to Spring into Reading at the 2026 Friends of MPL Used Book Sale. The two-day sale will be held on Friday March 6 from 1pm-4pm and Saturday March 7 from 9am-4pm in the Rotary Community Room on the first floor at Central Library, and you won’t want to miss it!

Thousands of books will be waiting for you to browse: books for kids, tweens and teens, plus fiction and nonfiction for adults.

Used adult hardbacks will be $1, adult paperbacks 2 for $1, and kids and young adult books 4 for $1.

While you’re there, stop by The Bookseller across the hall for more new and used book bargains - plus great deals on media! There will be vintage National Geographic magazines on sale and $3 pre-packed ready-to-go “Little Free Library boxes” for filling your own, or neighbors’, Little Free Library.
