Successful gardening does not require long rows of vegetables taking up lots of space. Learn how to be a garden success using less space and money.

Small Space, Small Budget Vegetable Gardening will teach you strategies to maximize your yield while gardening in smaller spaces. Some of the techniques we discuss include, succession planting, square foot gardening, raised beds, and container gardening.

Join Master Gardener Kim Torbett for this presentation and leave with a few vegetable starts of your own to launch your own gardening season.

Kim Torbett retired from Brown and Caldwell in March of 2022 as an environmental consultant that focused on project management, and implementation and auditing of environmental and health and safety management systems at large industrial sites.  In the spring of 2023, she joined the Master Gardener Volunteer program.  Kim enjoys helping people understand how small changes can enhance their garden and yard and aid the declining pollinator population. Kim’s other interests include managing her menagerie of dogs, cats, and birds; reading; travelling; figuring out what to plant next; and replacing lawn grass with more pollinator friendly solutions.
