Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month by creating a beautiful collage using a Japanese technique known as chigiri-e.
Chigiri-e is a traditional Japanese art form where images are created by tearing and arranging colored washi paper. The finished product resembles a collage or watercolor painting.
Washi Paper is a fine paper often made from the bark of the mulberry (kozogami) tree. It comes in a variety of colors and is characterized by it's natural, fibrous texture.
All supplies are included. Program limited to 15 participants. Register in person or online at mpl.org/calendar. Make sure to dress for mess!
