Discovery Lunches are one-hour programs that let you explore and connect with fellow learners on your journey to discovery at the Milwaukee Public Library. A light lunch is provided.

Eloi­sa Gómez, the co-author of the book, Somos Latinas: Voices of Latina Activists, will share insightful vignettes of several Milwaukee Latinas and their uphill struggles for a better community in such areas as, bilingual education, youth scholarships and political empowerment. We'll learn about these unsung heroes and celebrate their accomplishments. An interactive discussion will wrap up this presentation.

Somos Latinas: Voices of Latina Activists is available in paperback or ebook format via the new CountyCat website.
